About MSWP

Founded in 1975, the Montessori School of Washington Park, now Wild Pines, offers a tremendous experiential learning environment for children aged 15 months to 6 years. Founded by committed parents, MSWP combines dedicated teachers and faculty, exceptional facilities, challenging programs, and committed parents to help children develop confidence and competence as they discover their world.

We proudly serve children aged 15 months to 3 years old in our Toddler Community and children aged 3 to 6 years old in our Primary Community. MSWP offers both full-day (8:30-3:00) and half-day (8:30-12:30) programs for children ages 15 months to 6 years of age through Kindergarten.

We have beautiful classrooms, each complete with all the materials needed for an authentic Montessori education. Our newly updated outdoor spaces provide our students with a rich environment for exploration and learning through hands-on experiences in nature. Additionally, we offer programs like Aftercare, Specials, Enrichments and Summer Camp to our families to enhance our extracurricular offerings.

We are dedicated to upholding the Montessori philosophy in its most respectful form. Our teachers are trained Montessorians with a keen awareness of the world as it is! We are a genuine community school where our families become friends and build relationships that last a lifetime.

Through a peaceful and prepared environment, MSWP fosters independence, respect, and joy in learning while embracing a child’s natural wonder, and curiosity, strengthening mind, body and spirit.
